Formal arrangement Under Section 24 of the School Education Act (1999) for a child to attend an alternative education program

An arrangement will not be considered unless this (and subsequent) forms are completed by the Principal (or delegate) of the enrolling school.

Website, Media and social media consent

Student images and/or their work are published to recognise excellence or effort and may appear in online or print publications of SIDE and the Education Department including social media. Identifying information will be limited. I understand that the internet is accessible by any person worldwide, and that I can withdraw this permission at any time by contacting the school or Department in writing.
 

Internet Access

Student access to the Internet at SIDE is provided in accordance with school policy (available on the school website). Student access is contingent on abiding by the Online Services Agreement.

Viewing Content

Students often watch video, DVDs and television documentaries as part of their learning. Almost always these are G rated and don't require consent. Very occasionally something with a PG rating is appropriate for which we require parent permission.

Local Excursions

Visiting students occasionally walk within the local area for minor excursions under the supervision of the teacher and attend activities in local parks, nature reserves, other schools, city council libraries or shopping centres. On all occasions, parents will be notified of local excursions.

Language or English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D)
Enrolment into Year 11 or 12 Languages or Year 12 English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) course cannot occur without SCSA eligibility approval.
Note that SCSA approval is not required for students enrolling in Language Certificates.
